EU Presents the “Safe Hearts Plan” to Tackle Cardiovascular Disease

The European Commission has launched the Safe Hearts Plan, a comprehensive EU strategy to reduce the growing burden of cardiovascular disease through prevention, early detection and improved care. Aiming to cut premature deaths by 25% by 2035, the initiative promotes wider health screenings, digital innovation and targeted action to reduce inequalities, while strengthening cooperation across Member States to improve public health and economic resilience.

The 2025 EU4Health Work Programme calls for proposals are now live!

The EU4Health Programme has opened its 2025 funding call with €56.8 million available. Focused on cardiovascular health, Topics 4 and 5 aim to advance AI-driven prevention and treatment, and promote lifelong healthy lifestyles.
