The Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy, also known as the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Bucharest (UMFCD), is a prominent public health sciences university located in Bucharest, Romania. Established in 1869 as a component of the University of Bucharest, it holds the status of an "advanced research and education university" according to the Ministry of Education. The project will be undertaken in the Department “Disciplina Cardiologie, SPITALUL CLINIC COLENTINA, led by Gheorghe-Andrei Dan , Head of the Department Cardiology and Internal Medicine.
Distinguished as a Leading Research Investigator at the Romanian Academy of Medical Sciences, an Honorary Member of the Romanian Society of Cardiology, and serving as the Chancellor (Scientific Secretary) of the Faculty of Medicine at Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy (UMFCD), Doctor Georgie-Andrei Dan has held key positions in various prestigious medical roles. As the past-President of the International Society of Cardiovascular Pharmacotherapy and currently serving as the Editor-in-Chief for the Romanian Journal of Internal Medicine, his contributions and leadership underscore their significant impact in the field.
